2022.07.01Minna no Souka 2022
On September 18, recognized as World Bamboo Day, the global bamboo light-up event "Minna no Souka 2022" will be held simultaneously across all 47 prefectures of Japan and at various international locations.
This is the ultimate creation by my ally, Chikao Ikeda, bringing together people nationwide who share the spirit of "lighting up our town ourselves."
With the theme “Connect and Open,” this event brings together flames of intention, joining them as one.
On the day, along with my partner Yuka Shimada, the event will feature:
- Seijun Nishihata, Plant Hunter
- Kenji Kohashi, Japan’s renowned top creative director
- Anju Ishiyama, a member of our extended family
- Masaaki Waki, a man devoted to public service, believing that if he can raise the motivation of public servants across Japan by even 1%, he can change the nation
And I, too, will be participating.
