2022.07.03Yuji Yazawa’s purpose in life

This is not only a core value of Giveness International but also Yuji Yazawa’s way of life.

What matters most is feeling that my efforts contribute to Japan and Okinawa. This sense of purpose fuels and drives me.

Supporting and uplifting my teammates is crucial, and reciprocated relationships bring fulfillment. Engagement and creativity thrive when love and gratitude fill the team and relationships. Collaboration is a team effort; acting as if the achievements are solely my own is unacceptable. Trust and respect strengthen unity, and without them, progress is impossible.

When we share each other’s visions and intentions, the view becomes clear, and transparency enhances the sense of purpose.

Achieving meaningful results requires a profit outcome; without it, we cannot sustain a project. Nonetheless, there are times when we must prioritize benefits and keep moving forward—that’s the nature of cultural creation projects.

Who you work with is more important than what you do. We can’t accomplish anything with partners with whom we lack connection. Emotional bonds are essential, as is the ability to engage in open dialogue at any time. Being in the decision-making circle and having options always available are also essential.

In conclusion, how we work is how we live, and any project that doesn’t bring happiness is a waste of time and lacks meaning.

May we all live surrounded by projects that bring happiness to everyone involved.
