Yuji Yazawa
The Founder of GIVENESS INTERNATIONAL, Yuji Yazawa takes on a wide range of business including human resource development, horse-facilitated activities, real estate, green designing, a clinic, graphic & web designing, space designing, trading, and farming. Yuji invited Dr. Martin Seligman, former American Psychological Association (APA) president, to Japan, mobilizing his lecture for installing lived wellbeing across society. He also collaborated with prominent figures in wellbeing studies such as Ed Diener, Tal Ben-Shahar, Lyle Ungar, Karen Reivich, Judy Salzberg, Gabe Paoletti, and Emily Estafani Smith.
In 2020, Yuji started the country’s first life & career school named Power to the Prisoners and has served as its director. The program is a part of his effort to make wellbeing lived in society and generate jobs themed around purposeful re-living. In 2024, his ventures expanded globally with their EU base in the Netherlands. Yuji founded 3 Dutch companies: UZI Europe, Giveness International Holdings BV, and &Japonism. He is preparing for opening new eateries: Soba UKOU (Japanese noodle) and Kushikatsu Aya Sake and Tea (Japanese fried skewers).
