BIOGRAPHY
Yuji Yazawa
Yuji Yazawa founded The Giveness International and other enterprises (see below) that take on the following: human & organizational development; animal care (horse-facilitated activities); real estate; designing & construction, especially green (environmental) designing; farming. He invited Dr. Martin Seligman, a former president to the American Psychological Association (APA) in a supersized conference that inspired many leaders to embody a sense of wellbeing where they are. Similarly, he has collaborated with other prominent figures in the field of happiness and wellbeing, such as Dr.Ed Diener, Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, Dr. Lyle Ungar, Ms. Emily Esfahani Smith, Karen Reivich, Judy Salzberg, Gabe Paleotti.
In 2020, Yuji initiated Power to the Prisoners! (P2P), a life and career school for formerly incarcerated adults and juveniles, taking its charge as the director. He is committed to helping people reach wellbeing and create workplaces for them to lead a meaningful and purposeful re-life. In 2024, he moved to the Netherlands and started to expand ventures into Europe and the globe in a full scale. In 2025, he established 3 companies: UZI Europe, Giveness International Holdings BV, and TAMARIYA Global BV.
Yuji has established or served in 17 organizations, including: co-founder of YeeY, Inc.; founder of YUJIYA Inc.; Japan Director of the Colombo Plan GCCC (an intergovernmental organization); co-president of the Japan Positive Psychology Institute; founder of The Okinawa Vanilla Company; co-founder of Greens For Good; board member of &Japonism; and board member of UZI Europe and Giveness International Holdings BV.
